So here we are, the Semi-Finals of the MVS Challenge Cup and only 4 teams remain after battling their way through the group stages and then some tough challenges in the bracket play.

Below you can find a preview for each game and some expert analysis from a few well known faces.

TCM vs. TLR

The UK’s No.2 team against the masters of Keen, although that title is now debatable following a number of roster changes in recent weeks. This team at the moment is a shadow of the one that stormed through WiredOut and surprised many but they do have enough experience onboard to make it tough for TCM.

TCM have also suffered from a few roster changes with Kye quitting competitive CS, punt being brought in along with the Swedish talent of Hyvlarn. They took a while to get into their stride against myROAR after dropping the first map but looked a more positive side against Team-AMERICA in the Quarter Finals.

With this being a 3 map affair it could swing either way but comparing the lineups, unless all of TLR go huge I think it will be a struggle for them. Although Aaron has been playing really well recently I don’t think they have the depth in the rest of the team in the same way that TCM does.

Player to Watch: taLz (TCM), Aaron (TLR)

Team-UK zaK’s comment – “I think the most interesting game tonight will be TLR vs TCM as there will be a more competative feeling between the two teams to try and prove who is currently the better side, after their recent lineup changes. I think that if TLR have practiced a little bit it will be a close game, if not then I can see TCM walking away with a comfortable win.”

Dignitas vs. Ditto

This match has so many underlying stories and “grudges” it could be a stage play or ITV soap depending on who plays for Ditto; 101 vs. his old team, quark the fnatic beater vs. the UK No.1, Song vs. the team he kept turning down when they tried to recruit him.

Dignitas will be using CS:Source convert “wez” to stand-in for suffz, who is on holiday, but after his performance against sayitaintso it doesn’t look like he has lost his touch. Dignitas managed to walk over SAIS quite comfortably but I think Ditto will be a tougher opponent due to the experience in the team and their “random” style of play.

I can see this game going to the full 3 maps and being quite a close affair and with Ditto selecting the first map of the 3 they will certainly look to pick their strong map to take an early advantage.

Player to Watch: wez (Dignitas); Can he turn back time and work the same magic in 1.6 as he has done in source?

Team-UK zaK on the Dignitas match – “I expect that Dig will have a comfortable 2-0 win over ditto, but with a recent lack of activity on Digs side and the quality of players in the ditto squad, it could be a close game if ditto get off to a good start.”

This match should be on QuadV this evening so I would suggest tuning in at 19:45 to catch all the action.
